Sanskrit Week Celebrations

CBSE is committed towards promoting the teaching and learning of Sanskrit - "the Mother of all languages". To stimulate interest and increase awareness about the close relationship between Sanskrit and other languages and the cultural heritage of India, various programs were conducted at National Public School, Rajajinagar, Bengaluru.

A Sanskrit speech at the morning assembly helped in reviving students' interest in the language, reiterating the greatness of this rich language.Students of Grade V-X participated in various activities to enhance their knowledge and use of Sanskrit:

  • Samskrutha Sambhashanam" - Grades V, VI and X
  • Recitation of "Shlokas" from the Bhagavat Gita - Grades VII and VIII
  • Recitation of a variety of "Subhashithani" - Grade IX
  • Speeches on Adi Shankaracharya, Prachin bharath Samskruthi and Paropakaraha - Grades IX & X
  • Quiz on Sanskrit Heritage that covered topics in epics and Sanskrit literature - Grade X
  • Projects by Grade X:
