Independence Day 2017

The program organized by students of Grade 10 and Grade 5 was conducted during the assembly. It began with an invocation and a tribute to our motherland from a choir dressed in bright shades of the Indian tri-colour. A speech in Sanskrit with a translation in English extolled the progress that India has achieved to date. A harmonious medley of patriotic songs, an inspiring speech, shloka recital, a mime, a dance and a skit brought out the different flavours of India. A quiz on the history of Independence revealed the depth of knowledge of the students.

In her address, Principal Ms. Mini Jayan reminded the students about the supreme sacrifice the great martyrs made for freedom, which is very precious and needs to be preserved. She added that the future of India is in the hands of today’s children.
