DH NiE Theatre Workshop

As a part of Deccan Herald’s Newspaper in Education initiative, a fun filled theatre workshop called Spotlight was recently held. Tarun Sai of grade 8D and Tanav Gururaj of grade 10A NPS Rajajinagar had the chance to be a part of this creative event, designed to guide budding artists in the path of performing arts.

The workshop shed insight into essential skills required for potential theatre artists. The interactive session was all about discovering individual creativity and honing theatrical skills. Students got hands-on experience with key techniques like voice modulation, eye contact, empathy, gestures, body language, and movement.

Led by Mr. Pranav Viswanathan, an actor from the renowned Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA)—founded by Sir Paul McCartney—the workshop was both inspiring and enlightening.
