Trip to Centre for Brain Research
On March 7th, the Grade 11 students had the opportunity to visit the Centre for Brain Research (CBR) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) as part of the IISc Open Day celebrations. The visit was organized to attend “Cerebral Safari,” a fun and explorative neuroscience program designed to introduce students to the fascinating world of the human brain. During the program, students participated in a variety of interactive games and activities that demonstrated how the brain works. These games helped explain concepts such as memory, perception, reflexes, and coordination in an engaging and hands-on manner.
One of the most memorable parts of the visit was the opportunity to observe real brain specimens. Researchers and volunteers explained the different parts of the brain and their functions, giving students a closer look at the structure and complexity of the human nervous system. The visit to the Centre for Brain Research was a valuable and memorable learning experience.
