Nestled in the cool avenues of Rajajinagar, the National Public School is a thoughtful dream visualized  by our Founder Principal Dr. K. P. Gopalkrishna who has been meticulously and ably supported by our Principal Mrs. Santhamma, the woman behind this successful man.

NPS started its journey over 50 years back and will be celebrating its golden jubilee shortly. National Public School, Rajajinagar, was established in 1959, in order to promote in children a frame of mind devoid of linguistic or regional bias. The evolution of NPS from a bud to the fully blossomed flower that it is today has not always been smooth sailing. The metamorphosis has been possible due to the unstinting  efforts, of  hard work and determination of the dedicated  team headed by Dr. K.P.Gopalkrishna

Today NPS has more than 1800 students on its roll and has the honour of being granted Autonomy by the CBSE, Govt. of India. This is an honour given only to  two schools in the country of which NPS is one.
