Investiture 2023

An investiture ceremony holds great significance as it sets the tone for the academic year and fosters the development of leadership qualities among students. On the 16th of June 2023, National Public School, Rajajinagar, conducted its annual investiture ceremony, symbolizing the formal investiture of authority and responsibility upon the student leaders.

A stringent nomination process was held, wherein students were nominated for various positions, and each nominee had the opportunity to present their candidature through persuasive speeches. This was followed by a fair and clear democratic election process, allowing the students to vote for the candidates. The newly voted student leaders were then congratulated on their achievement.

The investiture ceremony began with an inspiring opening speech delivered by the Principal Ms Malathy Narayan, setting the tone for the event. The ceremony commenced with the grand entrance of the student council, led by the school prefect, as they marched to a synchronized march past, displaying discipline and unity.

The ceremony proceeded with the introduction of the school prefect and vice prefect, followed by the captains and vice-captains of each house - Centaur, Phoenix, Orion, and Pegasus. These student leaders play a crucial role in fostering a sense of camaraderie, competition, and teamwork within their respective houses.

Furthermore, the investiture ceremony recognized the newly selected sports captains, club secretaries, and presidents, who will contribute to the overall development of extracurricular activities within the school community. The school prefect, on behalf of the new school council, took an oath to uphold the values and ethos of the institution.

The investiture ceremony reached its captivating finale as the voices of the newly elected council members could be heard with their heartfelt rendition of the school song that stirred a collective sense of pride, unity, and shared aspirations among all attendees.
