Kanakadasa Jayanthi and Rajyotsava 2023

Karnataka Rajyotsava Day was celebrated with great fervour at National Public School, Rajajinagar. The students set tone to the celebrations by singing Baro Krishnaiah a song written by famous saint Kanakadasa in praise of Lord Krishna of Udupi. This was followed by a speech on the life of Kanakadasa. The choir sang ‘Nityotsava’ in praise of Karnataka. The audience enjoyed when the students sang Lokadakalajji written by Shishunala Sheriff in both folk and rock style. The students performed ‘Kamsale’ a unique folk dance which was a visual extravaganza. The celebrations ended with the entire audience singing the state anthem.
